THE AUTHOR

André Hoogeboom is a Dutch journalist and writer who specialises in Formula 1.
The first unauthorised version of Max Verstappen appeared in 2016 and has been meticulously updated ever since. The book remained 28 weeks in the bestseller list, reaching the eighth position.
 
André also wrote and published 'Formula 1-Expert' in The Netherlands, with tons of facts and trivia from the history of the premier class of motor racing.
This title was also featured in bestseller lists, achieving a sixth place as the highest position.
Other books by André Hoogeboom were published by Karakter. The new titles appear through Xander, a publisher from Haarlem. 
Earlier, André wrote a reconstruction of the peculiar rise and fall of Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker. It is an in depth reconstruction, portraying the company that saw sky high ambitions being burnt to a crisp during its Formula 1 adventure. André also wrote two F1 thrillers.
 
Before he became a bestselling writer, André worked as a journalist for the Noordhollands Dagblad. He also worked as a Formula 1 (and Ajax) watcher for the national press agency Gemeenschappelijke Pers Dienst (GPD), supplying all Dutch regional newspapers with motor sports (and Ajax) news.
